Which is the nearest airport?
The Snowy Mountains (Cooma) airport is the closest and 60kms (45 mins drive) away. The closest international airport is Canberra and 190kms (2hrs 15mins drive) away. You can hire a car at both airports
Where can I collect the keys?
Information will be emailed to you prior to arrival.
How close to the resorts are you?
Thredbo is 21kms (15mins drive) Perisher is 14mins (5mins drive and 9mins on Ski Tube) To go to Jindabyne to shop or enjoy the lake we are 10 minutes away. Our location puts the best of the mountains right on your doorstep
Is it smoking or non-smoking?
All of our accommodation is non-smoking
Do you have accommodation services for those with disabilities?
At the moment all of our accommodation has a couple of stairs to enter, but stay tuned.
Do the bathrooms have baths or showers?
Most bathrooms have claw foot or hydro spa bath tubs. There is a rain shower in every bathroom and en suite.
Are there car parking spaces or a car park?
There is ample parking, immediately next to your accommodation
Is it possible to have a cot in the room?
Yes, we have cots available for use, along with a high chair.
When do I need to pay for the accommodation?
Our booking terms and conditions require that all bookings are paid for in full 1 months prior to travel or upon booking if booking is within 1 month of arrival. When you make your booking you will be charged 50% & the remaining balance will be charged 30 days prior to arrival. Different payment schedules may apply for Early Bird offers or specials.
Can I pay by credit card?
Payment for your booking can be made by credit card (there is a 1.5% surcharge for Visa, Mastercard & PayPal payments) or direct deposit.
Do you have an event/meeting space? If so, how many people can it accommodate?
Our School House is built for entertaining. We hold birthday parties/dinner and weddings. Please contact us to see where we can help.
Do you have a restaurant onsite?
No, but we do have a chef, who on request, can provide meals or a full fridge or a mixture of the both. Please contact us.
Is breakfast included?
Tinkersfield supplies you with home baked bread, jam, muesli, milk & yoghurt. There is tea and a Nespresso coffee machine with coffee pods.
What is the cancellation policy on my reservation?
Prior to Arrival: 60 days or more | Full Refund less 10% of total booking amount 59 days or less| | All monies paid will be forfeited unless we are able to re-book the property. Any incurred costs in re-booking will be deducted from the refund amount.

No refund can be given in the event of non-arrival or any unused services. We recommend that you protect yourself with Travel Insurance. Rates are subject to change without notice. All cancellations must be notified in writing.
How do I cancel a reservation?
We hope you don’t have to cancel, but if you do, here’s our policy…

First up, you’ll need to notify us of your cancellation in writing. If you cancel your booking more than 8 weeks before your arrival, your deposit will be refunded, less a 10% handling fee. If less than 8 weeks’ notice is given, there is a no refund of deposit policy.
